  • D: I get so frustrated because I just don't understand! Why, sometimes it's reliable and runs great, but other times, not at all! I want to research the inner workings of the system because I feel like if I can understand why, I won't get so annoyed when it's not working.
  • me: That's the same reason I study psychology.

  • Me: Where are you from?
  • Man with accent: Greece.
  • Me: Really, my name is Greek. It's Cassandra.
  • Man with accent: Cassandra! That means bad news!*
  • Me: You got that right.

  • *Cassandra is famous in Greek mythology for her Apollo-given gift of prophesy, (though Apollo then cursed this gift so that no one would believe her predictions.) She foretold the fall of Troy among other tragedies.

  • My pal: I'm pushing a month myself so I feel your pain. But in reality that's not bad compared to other people.
  • Me: IDGAF about ugly people.
